The name Pisciotto identifies a place along the coast, near Ragusa. Here is located an old burned brick factory, known as Furnace Penna. It is a splendid example of industrial archeology and dominates the impressive landscape and sunsets of the coast of Sampieri.

Some of the episodes (“The shape of water ”) of TV series Inspector Montalbano were filmed here filmed here, transforming it into a “Mannera” which is a place where shepherds graze animals.
