Located in the Iblei mountains, the necropolis of Pantalica is an argheological site consisting of tombs carved into karst rocks.

Since 2005 Pantalica and Syracuse are on the list of World Heritage Sites.

How to get there: from Syracuse take road SS114 and follow the signs to Floridia, from there continue on road SS124 towards Cassaro Ferla: the entrance is near the junction of the two towns (follow the road signs).
