Small huts, churches and monuments are an integral part of this city. Here the key to everything is time; starting from the clock tower that reminds us that everything passes. Rebuilt in Baroque style after the earthquake in 1693, (except for St Domenico church, built at the end of the XIV century), Modica two main churches, St. Peter and St. George, are two of the many jewels that this city has to offer, the Dome of St. George, erected in the eighteenth century, looks like the church of S. Trinità dei Monti. Modica is also the city of chocolate; every year a festival (ChocoModica) is dedicated to this delicacy, whose processing follows old secret South American recipes.
