Ispica is an elegant eighteenth-century town sits on a rocky hill with a magnificent view overlooking the azure of the sea, up to the extreme tip of Capo Passero, the most southern point of Italy.

The historic center of Ispica has monuments built in late-Baroque and Liberty style. You can admire the colonnade and the facade of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, which has been the set of an episode of Inspector Montalbano  TV series.

Nearby you can immerse yourself in a wild countryside with carob trees, wheat fields, olive trees.

The archaeological area of Cava d’Ispica and Parco Forza are important attractions for lovers of archeology. Here you can see the remains of a castle, a long canyon marked by prehistoric necropolis, Christian catacombs and ancient settlements.
