The small village of Ferla, in the Iblei Mountains, is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy thanks to the attractions of its historic center and the surrounding area.

Here you can admire beautiful churches and palaces, alleys and charming courtyards.Located just 11 km from the village there is the Necropolis of Pantalica, an UNESCO heritage and for this reason Ferla is called “La Porta di Pantalica” (The door of Pantalica).

The village is known as one of the best eco-tourism destination. Its about 2500 inhabitants have chosen “slow living” as lifestyle. In addition, this village collects separately above 80% of the waste.Respect for nature, human relations, hotels and events such as “Ferula” make Ferla an ideal destination for natural living.
Among the monuments to visit in Ferla we find the Church of San Sebastiano, originally built in the fifteenth century, but completely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1693, with its imposing facade that dominates the square in front and the Church of St. Antonio Abate which has a particularly interesting exterior, a sinuous baroque facade consisting of three concave parts of which the two sides are encircled by belfries.
